Abstract

Rather than simply adding digital tools to classrooms, digital pedagogy focuses on creating meaningful, interactive, and student-centred learning experiences. The paper highlights how NEP 2020 encourages the use of technology through initiatives like e-learning platforms, blended learning, and improved digital infrastructure to make education more accessible and inclusive. It also looks at student engagement in the digital era, emphasizing how active participation behavioral, emotional, and cognitive plays a key role in academic success. Social media is discussed as a powerful educational tool that promotes collaboration, communication, and peer learning while allowing students to learn beyond the classroom. At the same time, the paper acknowledges challenges such as distractions, privacy concerns, and unequal access to technology.
